FAQ – Questions & Answers
Our Meals
What is the difference between today's menu and frozen meals?
Today's menu changes daily. It is fresh and ready to reheat quickly. Frozen meals are available at all times and perfect for stocking your freezer.
What days and hours is today's menu available?
Two different meal choices are available Tuesday through Friday, between 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Can I order today's menu in advance?
No, today's menu is only available on the day itself during our business hours.
What is the best way to reheat the meals?
Ideally, thaw in the fridge the night before: it reheats faster and there is generally less water. That said, it works just as well straight from frozen when you're in a hurry.
- Microwave (easiest): quick and efficient, especially for keeping vegetables firm.
- Oven (best texture): better for meat and a slightly golden finish, but takes a bit longer.
How long do the meals keep?
Fresh and thawed meals keep for 3 days in the refrigerator. Frozen meals keep between 3 to 6 months depending on the food. Refer to the best before date on the product label.
Allergies and intolerances: how does it work?
We list allergens on the labels and on each product's information sheet. We work carefully to avoid cross-contamination, but we cannot guarantee the complete absence of traces. Some ingredients (e.g., flour/gluten) can be airborne.
I loved a meal but I can't find it anymore.
Our meals follow a rotating menu of about 7 weeks, so the inventory changes regularly. We also offer seasonal recipes (e.g., stews in winter, lighter dishes and grilled meals in summer).
If you reach out, we can let you know when it comes back, or suggest a similar alternative.
Do you offer family-size portions?
No. We chose to focus on variety (more recipes) rather than offering multiple formats such as family sizes.
Do I need to remove the plastic film before reheating?
No, the film is oven and microwave safe if you follow the guidelines (maximum 375°F and no toaster oven). For full details, see our Cooking Instructions page.
Delivery
How much are the delivery fees?
Fees typically range between $12 and $16.
How are delivery fees calculated?
Delivery fees are calculated automatically by our delivery service's algorithm. We add a portion of the insulated packaging cost to that.
Why is there a minimum and maximum order for delivery?
We set a minimum to cover the fixed costs associated with order processing and insulated packaging, and to ensure delivery remains simple and efficient.
We also set a maximum because our insulated boxes have a limited capacity — this ensures everything stays properly cold during transport.
Same-day delivery: what is the cutoff time?
For same-day delivery, place your order before 5:00 p.m. We deliver Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
For more details, see the Delivery page.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to Verdun, Île-des-Sœurs, Le Sud-Ouest, LaSalle, and Lachine.
Check if your address is eligible by consulting the list of postal codes on the Delivery page.
What if I'm not home or my order is stolen at the door?
Deliveries are generally left at the door. We use an insulated box that helps maintain the cold for about 2 hours, but after that the cold chain is no longer guaranteed.
We recommend choosing an address where someone can retrieve the order quickly, or tracking the delivery notifications sent by email or text.
